September 18 – October 11, 2025
Opening Reception Thursday, Sept. 18, 7-10pm
Day & Night Projects presents Signal Fire, an exhibition by Atlanta artist Kole Nichols, which serves as a way to call out, to be seen, or find guidance during uncertain times. Signal Fire explores themes of navigation, protection, and communication, as Kole’s work hits on the exploration of physical, spiritual, and emotional spaces. Kole presents new artworks: map-like metal-pleated etchings, windows into glowing embers of flame and smoke, and sculptural armor-like fragments. Pulling inspiration from the definition or signal fire—a fire intentionally built or maintained to serve as a visible signal or beacon, conveying a message, warning, or call for help through light or a column of smoke.
Signal Fire will open with a free, public reception on Thursday, September 18, 7–10pm, and the artist will be present. Viewing hours are Fridays and Saturdays,12–5pm, or by appointment.
