Noah Reyes: Born with Teeth

Day & Night Projects September 8, 2026

September 11–October 4, 2026
Opening Reception Friday, Sept. 11, 7–10pm

Day and Night Projects is proud to present, Born with Teeth, a solo exhibition by Atlanta artist Noah Reyes. Through the act of erecting temporary walls to cradle paintings, solvent-based image transfers, and ephemera, Reyes creates a landscape that is a home for objects, images, and fragments drawn from contemporary culture and personal hyper-fixations.

Through these constructions, Reyes carries forward the visual language of the construction jobsites on which they were raised. Drawing from the Chicano ethos of Rasquachismo, they apply a scrappy minimalism to the two-by-four stud structures, making the most from the least. These temporary walls become both support and subject, offering an alternative to traditional forms of self portraiture and inviting viewers to recognize themselves in structures that are traditionally considered as incomplete, and continually becoming.

Born With Teeth exists as a visualization of a work-in-progress; a dream yet to be realized but gnawing to get out; a maw with an appetite, inviting and consuming those around it while indulging in the impulse to create without end or apology.

Born With Teeth will open with a free, public reception on Friday, Sept. 11, 7–10pm, and the artist will be present. Viewing hours are Fridays and Saturdays, 12–5pm, or by appointment.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Noah Reyes

Born and raised in Atlanta, Noah is an artist taking steps in many different directions, resulting in a peculiar dance between curating, writing, and artmaking. After receiving a BFA in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Noah returned to Atlanta. Through this multifaceted practice Noah aims to bridge connections between people, cultures, and art in hopes of shaping a more empathetic and nurturing future.

In the fall of 2026 Noah will begin pursuing a graduate degree in Arts Education at Georgia State University.

Noah has exhibited at various spaces across the American southeast including MOCA GA, Zeitgeist Gallery, and Cleo The Project Space. They have spoken at GSU, UGA, and Atlanta Contemporary for their work as an artist and curator.

Noah is the Gallery Manager for Sandler Hudson Gallery, serves as a board member for Lostintheletters, and sometimes writes for ArtsATL, ART PAPERS, Burnaway, IMPACT Magazine and Number INC.

Current hyperfixations include techno and Godzilla.
